New North Community School & Children's Centre and Kodit.
In an auditing FIRST, Kodit Database Ltd, the Asset Management and Auditing specialists based in Cheshire, affixed an asset tag to a tropical fish tank during a recent project at the New North Community School and Children's Centre, Islington. Lee Manning (Audit Team leader) commented ‘we have audited some strange items during Kodit’s history, however the tropical fish tank at the school was a genuine first. We also audited sandboxes in the play area!’
This tremendous school was opened in 2007, and, under the auspices of Mary McStay (Headteacher), a requirement for a comprehensive IT and furniture audit of some 3500 items was deemed necessary and a one-stop shop approach was required. Luckily, Kodit can provide all the necessary elements of the project, from the on-site auditing personnel, to the AccuCheck Asset Registry and auditing system, and the tags and labels which were used as unique item identifiers.
Mr Ellison, IT Manager, New North Community School and Children's Centre, commented ‘we were delighted that Kodit’s auditing team were fast and efficient, available at short notice, were able to work during half term (which minimised disruption to the pupils).
Claire Palmer, Sales Manager with Kodit, added ‘Lee and the team were deployed at very short notice, and quickly and efficiently completed the audit of the school in record time.
